Parks Policies

  • Park hours are 6 am to 10 pm.
  • Please use trash receptacles.
  • No motorized vehicles are allowed in parks or on trails.
  • Pets must be on leashes. (Please pick up after them)
  • Permits are required for vending.
  • No overnight parking in the parks.
  • Please report any maintenance needs or vandalism to the Parks Department.

Parks ProjectsBandshell Tiered Seating Area

The City of Buffalo Parks and Recreation Department and the Parks Advisory Board recently finished the grading and reseeding of the new tiered seating area in front of the bandshell at Sturges Park. 

The Parks Advisory Board has had this new design on it's agenda for a few years and decided on the tiered grass approach as it was more economical to construct and will be easier to maintain. The new tiered hillside will make it easier and safer to watch performances at the bandshell from your lawn chair.
