Garbage & Recycling

The City of Buffalo contracts with Republic Services for our Sanitation & Recycling needs. 

To set up new service or change out existing Garbage OR Recycling Carts email Utility Billing or call at 763-682-1001.

Placement of Garbage & Recycling Containers

When placing your containers out for pickup on your scheduled day, please do not to put the container in the street. This is an obstacle and can be hazardous for snow plow drivers in the winter months.

Holiday Service

If your regular collection day falls before or on a holiday (PDF) during the week, collection will be picked up one day later than your typical pickup date for the remainder of the week.
