Our Elec crew with zappy - Croppedmission is to provide reliable electric service, exceptional customer service and affordable energy to the City of Buffalo. As the city expands,  we strive to improve our services through system improvements and implementing new technologies.  We currently own and maintain over 1 million feet of primary distribution line and 1,550 transformers.  


MMPA -Minnesota Municipal Power Agency

MMPA is our Agency that purchases our Wholesale Power.  The City of Buffalo is one of twelve cities that make up MMPA along with their staff. To learn more about MMPA and how the cities power is purchased, please visit the MMPA website.  MMPA also offers a Clean Energy Choice Program which provides our Residents and Businesses a cost effective way to invest in renewable resources such as wind, solar, bioenergy and hydropower.
