Natural Amenities

Buffalo residents are fortunate to have two valuable natural resources in Lake Pulaski and Buffalo Lake. Both of these lakes are precious to us for the many recreational and leisure time activities that they provide. The City of Buffalo believes it is important to educate its residents about what they can do to prevent pollution problems to these lakes, and provide simple steps to help protect their natural resources.

Beautiful Place to Live

Buffalo received the America in Bloom national contest award for its focus on tidiness, environmental awareness, community involvement, heritage preservation, urban forestry, landscaped areas, floral displays and turf and ground cover. Each year, the city's streets are aligned with hanging gardens and in-ground floral displays making the community a very attractive place for visitors as well as those who enjoy living in Buffalo.

Buffalo's many assets such as its location, dedication to revitalization, economic development and a strong workforce continue to draw new business ventures to the community. Buffalo recognizes the importance of staying connected to this ever-changing world and it stays connected to information via the Internet. Internet access is a major benefit for business in the area. The City runs a fiber internet operation called Buffalo Fiber in addition to the private companies available to provide internet options.
