Biography
My name is Brad Dahl, I have been married to my wife, Teresa Dahl, for 31 years, and we have 2 adult children, Sabrina (son-in-law James) and Aaron. Teresa and I live in the northwest area of Buffalo where the Varner store was in the 80’s and 90’s. I have lived in Buffalo since 1975 except for 4 years of my Active-Duty Air Force time. I have an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science for Aircraft Maintenance Technology, FAA Airframe & Power plant License to work on civilian aircraft, and a Class A CDL. I am currently employed in the MN Air National Guard, at the 133rd Airlift Wing, as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician Superintendent; I have been serving in the Air Force for 35 years.
Outside of the military and being a city council member, I strive to serve others in need by providing free lawn and snow care for disabled veterans and deployed service members’ families since 2010 through Project Evergreen. I have also been on the Buffalo Airport Advisory Board since February 2022. Some activities I like to do with my family include camping, snowmobiling, exercising with my wife, and going on UTV trip’s to the North Shore.
I love living in Buffalo and have always considered it home, while I was either deployed or living in other areas of the country in the Air Force, I had always missed being in the charming city of Buffalo. With that being said, I feel it is time for me to give back to a city that has been a significant portion of my life.
I have three things I see as important matters facing both our state and city. First, is that we strive to improve our fiscal responsibilities with our residents’ tax money by working with city officials, city council members, planning commission, and most importantly listen to concerns of our residents. Secondly, to work on improving and expanding the city core services by maintaining the electric and water services while working other avenues to keep costs low. Finally, I see an importance in continuing to provide public safety at both law enforcement levels and personal safety. With my relationships to law enforcement at county and local levels, along with listening to Buffalo residents, we can continue this great service.
I want to thank my family and the residents of Buffalo for this opportunity to serve you and I will do my best to make sure I listen to the city of Buffalo and make you proud.
