Johnsonville Flagpole Update
In early-May, the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of Johnsonville in regard to the City’s enforcement of our sign regulations. The City Council reviewed the Court of Appeals decision and considered the recommendation of League of Minnesota Cities appointed counsel and determined not to pursue reconsideration by the Minnesota Supreme Court.
The City Attorney is continuing with administrative enforcement efforts regarding the flagpole which violates the height limits set forth in the City’s zoning code. To date Johnsonville, LLC has received penalties in excess of $26,000.
