Highway 25 & 2nd Avenue S on Buffalo Lake (11.49 acres)
6 am to 10 pm.
Sturges Spring runs year round, the land is rolling and contains matures trees and a flower garden, 1297 feet of lake frontage, a fishing pier, and boat landing.
Two park shelters are available to be reserved for events and gatherings with plenty of benches, picnic tables, and cooking grills. There is a basketball court, play structure, slide, swing set and HealthBeat® Outdoor Fitness System for your outdoor workouts.
The City of Buffalo Parks & Recreation Department and the Parks Advisory Board recently finished the grading and reseeding of the new tiered seating area in front of the bandshell at Sturges Park. The newly seeded area should be ready for events that happen in the Spring of 2022.
The Parks Advisory Board has had this new design on it’s agenda for a few years and decided on the tiered grass approach as it was more economical to construct and will be easier to maintain. The new tiered hillside will make it easier and safer to watch performances at the bandshell from your lawn chair.
