Contact our Electric Department for questions or concerns regarding a new build or remodeling by emailing or calling 763-684-5433.

Existing Electric Service

For service disconnects such as re-siding or remodeling, please contact Utility Billing by emailing or calling 763-682-1001 to set up an appointment with our Electric Department. A minimum notice of 48 hours is required. 

New Residential Service 

  • Is your home in the City of Buffalo Electric service territory? See our Buffalo Electric Territory Map (PDF) to locate your address.   
  • Apply for a State of MN Electrical Permit. When the permit is approved, the State of MN will automatically send to our Electric Department. To follow up, please email our Electric Department. 
  • When the panel and meter socket are ready for installation, please contact our Electric Department by emailing or calling 763-682-1001.  A work order will be issued for service installation. The Electric Crew does the trenching of wire from the transformer to the home as well as the meter installation. 

New Commercial Service
