City Code

The City Code comprises the municipal laws adopted by the City Council in the form of ordinances. The Code is a continuing state of change as new ordinances are periodically adopted by a vote of the City Council. 

Changes to the City Code become effective the day after publication in the newspaper of record, the Wright County Journal Press, unless the ordinance changing the Code provides otherwise.

The city code is organized to accomplish:

• Elimination of repetition and non-essentials
• Easy revision and ease of incorporation of new ordinances
• Comprehensiveness
• Ease of locating a particular subject or provision
